A Compass-led consortium acquired Bonyan in 2018. At the time, its principal asset was Designopolis, a destination in West Cairo with an opportunity for a new direction.
Working alongside management, the platform transformed the property into Walk of Cairo and expanded into income-generating commercial real estate. Its investment approach brings together asset selection, active management, rental income, and long-term capital appreciation.
Bonyan’s portfolio grew across East and West Cairo. In July 2025, the business began trading on the Egyptian Exchange under the ticker BONY.CA, opening a new chapter in the platform’s development.
